Simon Acheampong Tampi is a teacher and surveyor who represented Tatale-Sanguli in the Northern Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2017 to 2021. He was born on 14 April 1975.
Tampi trained at Sunyani Polytechnic and the University of Education, Winneba, earning a degree in construction education. He worked as a surveyor at Nulux Plantation from 1996 to 2002 and taught at Nakpalu-Borle Primary School from 2005 to 2016. He won the seat in 2016 with 39 percent of the vote, ahead of the NPP's Thomas Mbomba, but Mbomba beat him in 2020. Ntebe Ayo William won the seat back for the NDC in 2024.
