Simon Edem Asimah

Simon Edem Asimah is a development planner who represented South Dayi in the Volta Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two terms, from 2009 to 2017. He was born on 19 March 1955 and comes from Peki-Wudome.

He holds a master's in development studies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, and was Greater Accra regional director of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency. He won South Dayi in 2008 and again in 2012 with 87.5 percent of the vote, and chaired the Committee on Environment, Science and Technology. He is an Evangelical Presbyterian, married with five children. Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor of the NDC holds the seat today.
