About Stephen Kwaku Balado Manu
Stephen Kwaku Balado Manu is a teacher who represented Ahafo Ano South in the Ashanti Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for four terms, from 1997 to 2013. He was born on 23 August 1958 and comes from Tatale.
He studied French and sociology at the University of Cape Coast, graduating in 1988, took an MPhil in educational planning and administration there and an executive master's in governance at GIMPA. He was an assistant director with the Ghana Education Service. He won Ahafo Ano South in 1996 by fewer than 600 votes and held it in 2000, 2004 and 2008. The seat was split in 2012 into Ahafo Ano South East and Ahafo Ano South West.
