About Solomon Namliit Boar
Solomon Namliit Boar is a New Patriotic Party (NPP) politician who represented Bunkpurugu from 2017 to 2021 and became the first Regional Minister of the new North East Region. He was born on 15 July 1968 in Bunkpurugu.
Boar studied management at the University of Cape Coast and took an executive MBA at KNUST. He was finance and administrative manager at New Energy in Tamale. President Akufo-Addo appointed him Deputy Northern Regional Minister in 2017, and when the North East Region was created in 2019 he became its first Regional Minister, setting up the new regional administration in Nalerigu. He is a Baptist, married with five children. Bandim Abed-Nego Azumah of the NDC holds Bunkpurugu today.
