About Abeiku Crentsil
Abeiku Crentsil is a quantity surveyor and development worker who represented Ekumfi in the Central Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) twice, from 2013 to 2017 and from 2021 to 2025. He was born on 28 March 1973 and comes from Ekumfi Essuehyiam.
Crentsil trained at the National Engineering College in Takoradi and worked in construction, surveying and bio-fuel land acquisition before politics. He first won Ekumfi in 2012, lost it narrowly in 2016 to the NPP's Francis Kingsley Ato Codjoe, and took it back from Codjoe in 2020 with 53.6 percent of the vote. In the Eighth Parliament he was deputy ranking member of the Privileges Committee. He is a Methodist, married with four children. Ekow Othniel Kwainoe of the NDC holds Ekumfi today.
