About Elizabeth Agyemang
Elizabeth Agyemang is a teacher and nurse who represented Oforikrom in Kumasi for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for three terms, from 2005 to 2017, and later served as Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister. She was born at Kotei on 13 May 1949.
Agyemang trained as a teacher, earning her Certificate 'A' in 1971, and later qualified as a nurse at Alexandria Hospital in Virginia in the United States in 1989. She won Oforikrom with large majorities, taking more than 58,000 votes. In March 2017 President Akufo-Addo named her one of ten deputy regional ministers. She is married with three children. Michael Kwasi Aidoo holds Oforikrom today.
