Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah

Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah was a lawyer and judicial administrator who represented Kwabre West in the Ashanti Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2005 until his death in June 2012. He came from Bomso near Kodie.

He studied economics at the University of Ghana, took a master's in public administration in The Hague in 1974 and qualified as a lawyer at the Ghana School of Law in 1986. He served as Judicial Secretary of the Judicial Service. He won Kwabre West in 2004 and 2008 with more than 80 percent of the vote each time. He collapsed and died at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on 22 June 2012, months before the end of his second term. He was a Presbyterian, married with five children.
