About Frederick Obeng Adom
Frederick Obeng Adom is a young businessman who represented Upper West Akim in the Eastern Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2021 to 2025, and served as a Deputy Minister for Transport. He was born on 11 January 1984 and comes from Aburi.
Obeng Adom studied marketing at GIMPA, graduating in 2013, and worked as business development officer at Fonak Technologies and chief executive of Surveying Precision Market Limited. In 2020 he won the NPP primary and then unseated the NDC's Derek Ohene Assifo Bekoe to take Upper West Akim. President Akufo-Addo appointed him deputy transport minister. He served on the House and Mines and Energy committees.
The seat went back to the NDC in 2024, won by Emmanuel Drah.
