About Kofi Frimpong
Kofi Frimpong is a businessman who represented Kwabre East in the Ashanti Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for three terms, from 2005 to 2017. He was born on 17 June 1951 and comes from Ntonso.
He graduated in sociology and political science from the University of Ghana in 1978 and was managing director of Bakota Medical Technology in Kumasi. He won Kwabre East in 2004 with 81.2 percent of the vote, in 2008 with 76 percent and again in 2012, making it one of the NPP's safest seats. Francisca Oteng-Mensah followed him for the NPP in 2017, and Akwasi Gyamfi Onyina-Acheampong holds the seat today.
