Kingsley Agyemang

Kingsley Agyemang is a Ghanaian chartered insurer, administrator and politician born on 24 November 1979 who serves as the Member of Parliament for the Akim Abuakwa South constituency in the Eastern Region. A member of the New Patriotic Party who assumed office on 7 January 2025 as a first-term parliamentarian, he brings a background in insurance and public administration to the representation of a constituency in the Akim Abuakwa South District, an Eastern Region area with historical significance as part of the traditional Akyem Abuakwa state.

Agyemang is a chartered insurer and administrator whose professional career spans insurance services and public institutional management. Under the Akufo-Addo administration, he was appointed as the Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, a national agency responsible for administering government scholarships for Ghanaian students pursuing tertiary education in Ghana and abroad. His role as Registrar placed him in charge of the secretariat's administrative operations, scholarship selection processes and the management of the awards that enable deserving Ghanaian students to access tertiary education. 2024 election and parliamentary career

He contested the Akim Abuakwa South constituency in the December 2024 general election and won decisively with 27,011 votes, defeating the NDC candidate Nana Addo Sarong Aikins who received 7,454 votes, a majority of nearly 20,000 that reflected the strength of NPP support in a constituency within one of the Eastern Region's historically significant traditional kingdoms. He assumed office on 7 January 2025, joining the NPP's minority bench as a new member of the Ninth Parliament.
