Kobena Mensah Woyome

Kobena Mensah Woyome is a computer scientist and businessman who represented South Tongu in the Volta Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2009 to 2025. He was born on 21 September 1971 and comes from Dabala.

He attended Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School in Legon, graduated in computer science and statistics from the University of Ghana in 1997 and took a postgraduate diploma in business administration at GIMPA. He ran the Stewise group of companies. South Tongu is one of the NDC's safest seats: he won it with 87 percent of the vote in 2016 and 83 percent in 2020. He was ranking member of the Youth, Sports and Culture Committee and sat on the Foreign Affairs Committee. In May 2023 he lost the NDC primary to Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, who holds the seat today. He worships at Action Chapel International and is married with three children.
