Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo

Kofi Ahenkorah-Marfo is a Ghanaian politician born on 26 April 1968 in Akim Bieni in the Eastern Region, who serves as the Member of Parliament for the Achiase constituency. A member of the New Patriotic Party who has represented the constituency since 2021, he combines parliamentary service with a role as Board Chairman of Metro Mass Transit Limited, Ghana's principal public road transport company, which operates the large bus fleet serving inter-city and suburban routes across the country.

Political career

Ahenkorah-Marfo contested the Achiase constituency in the 2020 general election on the NPP ticket and won the seat with 14,796 votes representing 61.16 per cent of valid votes cast, a comfortable majority that gave him a strong mandate to represent a constituency in the Achiase District of the Eastern Region. He retained the Achiase seat in December 2024, continuing his parliamentary service on the NPP's minority bench in the Ninth Parliament. Achiase is a constituency in the Eastern Region's Akyem forest belt, an area where cocoa farming, timber and gold mining activity shape the economic profile of communities across the Achiase District, and where infrastructure, agricultural support and the management of the natural resource economy are persistent constituency development concerns.
