About Williams Okofo-Dateh
Williams Okofo-Dateh is a teacher and farmer who represented Jaman South in the Bono Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2021 to 2025. He was born on 15 October 1981 and comes from Drobo Faaman.
Educator
Okofo-Dateh trained as a teacher and holds a degree in education, specialising in population and family life, and a master's degree in international relations and aid.
Rice for the youth
He took Jaman South from the NPP's Yaw Afful in 2020. His signature project as MP was a rice production scheme launched in 2021 to draw young people into farming with modern methods, packaging and marketing. He supplied seed, boots and weedicide to the Aboukrom Rice Farmers Association to get it started. In Parliament he sat on the Judiciary and Foreign Affairs committees.
Jaman South went back to the NPP in 2024, when Kwadwo Damoah won the seat.
