About Wisdom Gidisu
Wisdom Gidisu is a businessman who represented Krachi East in what is now the Oti Region for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) across four terms: three from 2005 to 2017, then a comeback term from 2021 to 2025. He was born on 5 May 1967 at Bakpa-Adidome.
Businessman
Gidisu runs Top-in-Town Enterprise in Dambai. He holds an executive MBA from GIMPA and has taken executive courses at Harvard Kennedy School and a health systems management course in Israel.
Loss and return
He first won Krachi East in 2004 and held it for three terms, serving as vice-chair of the Privileges Committee. In 2016 he lost to Michael Gyato of the NPP, but he won the seat back in 2020. He is known in the constituency for classroom blocks, water systems, markets, rural electrification and corn mills supplied to about 80 communities.
He is married with eight children and worships in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Nelson Kofi Djabab of the NDC succeeded him in 2025.
