About Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh
Nana Akua Owusu Afriyieh is a New Patriotic Party (NPP) politician who represented Ablekuma North in Accra from 2017 to 2021 and later became Ghana's deputy ambassador to China. She was born in Saltpond on 3 September 1969.
Owusu Afriyieh holds a diploma in management studies from the University of Cape Coast. She won the NPP primary in 2015 and took Ablekuma North in 2016 with 67 percent of the vote. She is a widow with four children. Ewurabena Aubynn of the NDC holds the seat today.
