About Abdul-Razak Tahidu
Abdul-Razak Tahidu is a former teacher and district chief executive who represented Chereponi in the North East Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from 2021 to 2025. He was born in Chereponi on 28 January 1977.
Tahidu trained as a teacher, earned a degree in basic education in 2007 and a master's in leadership and development in 2013. He worked as budget and examinations officer in the Ghana Education Service before serving as District Chief Executive for Chereponi. In 2020 he unseated the sitting MP, Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite, winning 19,800 votes to 12,859. He also sat on the board of the Petroleum Commission. Seidu Alhassan Alajor of the National Democratic Congress won Chereponi in 2024.
